What do you do when creditors are unfair. One thing you can do is fight back.
Another thing you can do is familiarize yourself with your rights. You cannot stop the lender from being unfair if you do not know whether the lender's actions are illegal or unfair.

The National Foundation for Consumer Credit (NFCC) http://www.nfcc.org/ is a non profit organization that helps with credit related issues.
The Debt Councilors of America http://www.dca.org/ offer information and help with credit issues. I know that they offer help in working with credit
card companies to reduce interest rates.
