    Prison

  1. The game begins with your character in prison unarmed. You push the stone block at the back of the cell through the wall using the Control key and the 8 button on the number pad simultaneously.
  2. Go through the hole, walk down the corridor, and take the first door to the left into the room. The switchplate on the floor will close the door behind you.
  3. Talk to the prisoner on the left side of the room about how to escape the prison. He does not know. The prisoner on right side of the room will tell you to get started.
  4. Jump up and grab the ledge above the prisoner on the right by pressing the Alt key and the number pad 8 key at the same time until the prince climbs up to the platform above the cell floor. You need to hold both keys down until the prince grabs the ledge and pulls himself all the way up out of the hole onto the platform. If you dont hold them long enough the prince will fall back down the hole and you will have to do it again.
  5. Jump up and grab the ledge through the hole in the ceiling where you see light shining through from above. From a position directly under this hole again press the Alt key and the number pad 8 key simultaneously until the prince climbs out of the cell into another room. You may have to try to move the prince around until you get it right.
  6. Leave the room and a cinematic of a guard in the next room will play.
  7. Enter the room where a prisoner is sitting on the ground. Leave the room by the door on the right of the prisoner. Take the passage to the shower room. Step on the white switchplate in the rear of the shower room causing a trap door to open in the water trough in the floor above. Another cinematic sequence will play. When the cinematic is over climb through the trap door in the water trough by using the Alt and number pad 8 keys simultaneously.
  8. Turn to the right toward the opening in the wall and run toward it. Go down the passageway beyond the wall and jump into the water. The prince will go under the water. You will need to press the alt key and the number pad 2 keys simultaneously to get the prince to the surface of the water so he can breathe. Pressing the alt key and the number pad 8 keys will cause the prince to dive down deeper.
  9. Swim to the right by having the prince swim forward with the number pad 8 and alt keys and turn right with the number pad 6 and alt keys. Swim to the ledge and climb out of the pool by pressing the shift key and the number pad 8 key when at the ledge. Turn to the left and climb up the rock ledge with the alt and number pad 8 keys. Notice that the prince can only jump to the lowest rock ledge.
  10. Run across the bridge and notice bridge pieces falling away as you run across. If you fell in the water and need to cross the bridge you will need to run and jump across the broken bridge by pressing the number pad 8 key to make the prince run forward and touching the alt key when you want him to jump. The prince needs to jump at the edge of the broken areas to leap over to the other standing parts of the bridge. If you fall in the water go back to the ledge and climb up again.
  11. On the other side of the bridge, turn to the left, jump up, and climb onto the next ledge with the number pad 8 and alt keys. Run straight ahead, jump up and climb onto the next ledge. Turn right into the torch lit passageway.
  12. Save at this point since you will find a trap in this passagway. If you make a mistake with this trap you will die. If you have saved the game you can start over and try again.
  13. Run down the passageway and jump over the blade pit trap that is lit with the pale green light by pressing the number pad 8 and alt key to jump over it. Hold the number pad and alt keys down until the prince to grab the other edge of the trap and pulls himself up and out of it on the floor on the other side of it.
  14. Go to the hole in the wall on the other side of the blade pit trap. Crawl forward through the hole by holding down the C and number pad 8 keys. (The C key makes the prince crouch and when combined with a number pad key will cause him to crawl.) Crawl toward the prisoner on the left. A cinematic will play of the prisoner telling the prince to sneak past the guards.
  15. Go out of the room, turn right and go to the end of the passageway.
  16. You may want to save it here again. Hold down the shift and the number pad 8 keys will cause the prince to sneak past the guards. If the guards do not see the prince you can try to run around past them until you are outside the room. Ignore the guards.
  17. Once outside the room, turn right and go to end of corridor. Follow the passage to the left and under the wooden planks. Go to the end of the passagway while avoiding the guard. Step on the floor switch and a cinematic of a door opening will play.
  18. Turn the prince around with the number pad 5 key. Go back down the hallway and pass the guards again by sneaking or running. Turn right at the barrels and go down to the end of this torch lit passageway. Save the game. Turn right and jump over the spike trap on the floor by running up to the trap and then pressing the alt key at the edge of the trap to jump over and go through the door. You may need to hold down the alt and the number pad 8 keys to get the prince to grab the edge of the trap and climb up onto the floor. I found sneaking difficult so I ran past the guards and jumped the trap at the end with no ill effects.
  19. If you saved the game you should be able to restore your game and try again should you die in the trap.
  20. Follow the short corridor and turn left. Save before you try to get past the next two spike traps
  21. Turn right, go out the door and down another torch lit passageway. Follow the corridor around to the left where there are two traps in the floor side by side with a small passage between them. Save your game. Walk, sneak or run between the traps.
  22. Keep following the corridor to the left until you see a single trap on the floor with a lot of blood. You can sneak past this trap on the sides by going as far to the right or left of the trap and walking or sneaking by it. Sneak by using the shift and the number pad 8 keys.
  23. Walk to the end of the corridor where there is a table and an overhead platform with a lamp hanging from it. Climb up to the platform by jumping with the alt key and then holding the alt and number pad 8 key down to grab the platform ledge and pull yourself onto the platform.
  24. Back the prince up to the wall opposite and facing the opening on the right wall. If you walk the prince to the wall you can turn him around with the number pad 5 key. Run the prince with the number pad 8 key and jump him by hitting the alt key just at the edge. The prince should jump over the closed door into the room beyond.
  25. With your back to the closed door you just vaulted over, take the right hand arch and follow the corridor around to the right to the staircase that leads up. Make sure to avoid the sleeping guard near the switch who is to the left of the corridor beyond the vertical bars on the left hand wall.
  26. Go up the stairs and around and take the first lighted room on the left. Inside the right hand room is a prisoner who is shoveling fuel into a fire who will talk to you about the necessity of having a weapon.
  27. Within the room on the left you will find a large crate against the left wall of the room. Approach the crate from the side closest to the wall and door. Use the control key to grab the crate. Hold the control key down and depress the number pad 2 key to pull the crate back and reveal a hole in the wall hidden behind it. Have the prince crawl, by depressing the C and number pad 8 keys simultaneously. Crawl to where the blue potion is. Stand up. Use the control key to pick up and drink the blue potion. When the cinematic of the prince drinking the potion is over go back into the corridor.
  28. Go back out and turn left into the corridor. Go down the corridor and up the stairs at the end. Turn left at the crank shaft and depress the control key to get the prince to turn the crank and lift the box off of the three rats. Jump down to where you see the three rats. There are two sets of rails or train-like tracks on the floor. One set on the left leads to a closed door. Follow the set on the right down a corridor to the far right back towards the rear wall of the room and out.
  29. Here you will find a crank on the wall. Press the control key to get the prince to turn the crank and open the door to the left of the prince. Move the prince onto the wooden square and jump up and climb onto the platform above with the alt and number pad 8 keys.
  30. keep running and leaping until the prince reaches a torch lit corridor. There are three leaps here. Run with the number pad 8 key and wait until you reach the edge of the platform then leap with the alt key. Keep the alt and number pad 8 key depressed to catch the edge of the platform and climb up if you dont jump onto it standing up.
  31. Follow this to the end of the corridor, turn the prince right and make him leap across to the platform on the diagonal side of the room. Save before every leap. Lining up the prince on this jump is critical to success so dont despair if you have to restore and try it again several times.
  32. Directly in front of the prince and down is a room with a guard facing you. You may be able to jump down near the left hand side wall and sneak past the guard. I found that you could just as easily jump down and go up the stairs to your left quickly and the guard would not catch you. At the top of the stairs crouch down with the C key. Hold the C and number pad 8 keys down to crawl past the decapitation trap.
  33. Once through the trap stand up, turn right and go up the stairs.
  34. At the top of stairs, turn right and move into the room over where the shower head is running. Climb up the ledge here by depressing and holding the shift and number pad 8 keys.
  35. Walk over to the opening in the wall to the right near the large box. Look over the opening and watch the cinematic of the guard below. You will now drop the large box on the guard. Turn and face the box. Press and hold the control key to get the prince to grab the box and hold it. While still holding the control key down, depress the two key to pull the box over infront of the opening in the wall. Move around to the side of the box opposite the wall opening and depress the control and number pad 8 keys to get the prince to push the box through the opening in the wall. The box will drop on the poor unsuspecting guard and his sword will appear on the ground next to his now dead corpse.
  36. Watch the cinematic of the guard in the room where you used the crank shaft to pull the box up off of the three rats. Jump down and get the sword and sheath it in your scabbard.
  37. Your sword is drawn and sheathed with the space bar. You fight with the Q, W, and E keys on the pc. Check your game manual for other keyboard and game pad controls for the PC and other versions of the game.
  38. Now you will go back to where you came from to get into this portion of the prison. Climb back up the ledge oposite fromwhere the crate fell from with the alt and number pad 8 keys. Leap across the gap diagonally to the entrance to the room by running with the num pad 8 key and jumping with the alt key. Go back through the hallway leaping from platform to platform. Remember to save your game as needed and surely before fighting the guard in the next section.
  39. In the room where you see a guard, jump down and fight the guard with your new sword. Use the spacebar to take your sword out of the sheath and the Q, W, E, and S keys to fight. Notice that you can maneuver the prince while fighting with the number pad 8, 4, 6, and 2 keys just like when you are running. You will need to move the prince in close to an opponent to kill him and develop a sword fighting strategy to prevent yourself from dying.
  40. Follow the tracks on the floor back to the crank shaft room. Climb back up on the platform where the rats are. Follow the passageway into a torch lit corridor. Unsheath your sword and kill the guard you find here. Make sure you drink the blue potion that appears near the corpse of the dead guard. These blue potions heal your character.
  41. Go to the end of the hall, turn left and go down the stairs. Go to the room at the end of the hall where the sleeping fat guard is. This is the same fat sleeping guard that you passed before. A cinematic will play of the guard waking up. Unsheath your sword and kill the guard. There is a crank or lever on the wall near where the guard was sleeping in the chair. Use the control key to turn the switch. A cinematic of a door opening over a blood stained corridor will play.
  42. Run out of the room into the room to the right. Do not go back up the stairs. Move into the room directly in front of you and battle another guard. Beyond this guard in the next room is a floor trap with a blue potion behind it. Save the game. Avoid the floor trap and drink the potion if you need healing.
  43. Go into the room with the guard and the large red head of good old uncle Assan on the wall. A cinematic will play where a guard places his hand in Assan's mouth and the door opens. Resist the temptation to put your hand in Assans mouth as he will bite and kill you. Walk over to the silver and gold box on the low table on the right and pick up the box with the control key. The prince will comment that he cannot open the box and he will put the box in his pocket.
  44. Go back to the cross section of the three hallways where you entered this area originally which is just outside the Assan head room to and through the door to the left. Crouch down and crawl past the decapitation trap in the middle of the three archways and move into the torture chamber.
  45. Move around to the rear of the head crusher torture table on the left of the room and put the box on the head crusher by pressing the control key. Turn the prince around, walk over to the lever on the wall and use the control key to get the prince to turn the lever. Watch the cinematic of the head crusher crushing the box and go over and pick up the golden bracelet with the head of Assan on it by using the control key yet again.
  46. Save your game and go out of the torture room by crouching with the c key held down and crawling with the c and number pad 8 keys held down to avoid the decapitation trap. Turn right and right again back into Assan's giant red head room. Now you can put your hand into the head's mouth and the bracelet will prevent the head from killing you. Put your hand in the head's mouth opening the gate, and move through the gate into the next room. Go up the stairs and fight the guard you find there.
  47. Run through the next doorway and an Ivory Tower cinematic will play. You will get some more insight into Assan's cunning and treachery. Congratulations you made it out of the prison.

    Ivory Tower

  48. Once in the tower go through the doorway in front of the prince. Go up the ramp to your right. Go through the doorway to your left at the top of the ramp. A cinematic of an archer shooting arrows at the prince will play.
  49. Once the archer stops shooting arrows, turn left and run across the bridge in front of you. Run toward the bridge with the ring of spikes surrounding it.
  50. Turn to the right and move toward the platform there. A guard will pull up the drawbridge at the last moment. You now need to go up to the platform where the archer was and get his bow and arrows to open this drawbridge and move on.
  51. Save your game and turn around and go to the pathway to the right of the one where you came to the platform with the pool. Notice that this platform is not connected to the pool platform so you will need to jump to it. A running jump with the alt and number pad 8 keys should take you onto the platform.
  52. Be careful not to walk off any of these platforms by holding the shift key down to move around. Sneaking or walking with the shift key held down while using the movement keys on the number keypad will prevent you from inadvertantly walking off any of these platforms.
  53. Once on the ramp, go up the ramp to the lit corridor and turn right. Follow the hallway to to the end and enter the doorway there. You will find yourself on a small wooden bridge. Climb up on the ledge that is next to the prince by depressing the shift and number pad 8 key at the same time and holding them until the prince is safely up on top of the ledge. Save your game.
  54. Notice the configuration of the ledge in front of you. You can look around by holding down the number pad enter key and using the number pad 8, 4, 6, and 2 keys to move your view. To the right are some blades on the ground. To the left is a bare area but at the top of this ledge is another set of blades. Now look at the ledge to the right of the blades and notice that the ledge there is bare with no blades. Now turn the prince and look opposite that ledge and notice that there is a ledge in the wall opposite the bare area on the ledge above. You will need to jump up to get a hold of the ledge with the alt key. Hold down the alt key and shimmy to the side with the number pad 6 key. Hold down the alt key and climb up to the ledge above the blades trap with the number pad 8 key. Notice that when you pull yourself up the wall infront of you will start moving toward you to push you off onto the trap below. Immediately turn around with the number pad 5 or 0 key and then quickly simultaneously depress the alt and number pad 8 key to do a standing jump to the platform in the wall opposite from the platform you are standing on. Keep the alt and number pad 8 keys depressed so that if the prince needs to he can grab the edge of the ledge here and pull himself up. You may have to try this trick over and over again until you get the timing and sequence of button pushes exactly right.
  55. Once on the opposite ledge immediately save your game again. You do not want to die and have to repeat this all over again. Go to the turn and turn left and face the new trap on the floor. You can move forward to the edge of the trap with the shift and number pad 8 keys depressed to prevent you from walking into it. Then depress the alt key to jump and hold the alt and number pad 8 keys down to jump over the trap.
  56. Walk through the doorway out onto a short wooden ledge. Walk to the edge of the ledge by depressing the shift and number pad 8 keys. Turn 90 degrees to your left and agan walk up to the edge by depressing the shift and number pad 8 keys. Save your game. When at the ledge make sure you are lined up with the platform directly in front of you then use the alt and number pad 8 keys to make a standing forward jump onto this platform.
  57. Once on this second smaller platform walk straight ahead off of the edge of the platform and you will fall onto a ledge just below the other platform.
  58. Look for the ledge up above you. Move the prince around until you can use the alt and number pad 8 keys to jump up, grab the edge of the platform, and pull yourself up onto it.
  59. This new platform follows the curve of the wall to the right and then comes close to the wall where there is a large opening above it on the left. Go up to the opening, jump and grab the wall, and pull yourself up into the hole.
  60. This is a hallway that is shaped like a v with you at the bottom of two downsloping platforms. Turn to your left and exit this area out of the doorway in front of you. Turn right and you will see a doorway that leads into a hallway with rock walls.
  61. Enter the rock wall hallway, turn right, and stop and look down. Save your game. You can look down by holding down the number keypad enter key and using the number keys to move your view around. Notice the small platforms in the floor and the dart traps along the walls. You need to walk (shift and number pad keys held down) diagonally at a 45 degree angle through these platforms without being hit by any darts. At the end of the hallway is a doorway off to the right that you want to go through.
  62. Go down the little hallway you now find yourself in beyond the dart trap hall. Go through and follow the hall to the end where there is a closed door and an open doorway. Go through the open doorway into the tiled room.
  63. Within the tiled room, notice that there is a doorway with a portcullis in the room and two blue floor switches one near the door you are about to enter and one at the back of the room. The footswiches open the portcullises for a short period of time. If one of them closes you will have to go back and try this again. You need to move quickly to activate the swiches and walk past both portcullises. If you stop between the floor switches or the portcullises you will probably not make it through both of them. If you run over the floor swtch nearest the door and go back to the one in the back of the room and then turn and run through both portcullises you will make it through this trap.
  64. On the other side of the second portcullis stop and save your game. Line yourself up for the jump so that the ledge you are jumping to is directly across from the prince and back up to the wall. The gap is a large one and will require one smooth movement to move to the edge and jump. On the other side of the gap you will need to hold the jump button so that the prince holds on to the edge of the platform and push the forward button to get the prince to climb up on it.
  65. Once you pull yourself up, turn right. Look first. When you begin to run the middle section will drop away and if you are standing on it will take you down to your death. Again you must line yourself up, without moving forward, then run to the far edge of the ledge in one smooth movement.
  66. Jump up and pull yourself up onto the platform above you. Turn to the right and walk to where the ledge widens. Look to your left where there is a windowsill. Back up with the shift key depressed to the back of the plaform and take a running jump to the windowsill. Hold the jump button down to hold onto the edge of the windowsill and press the forward button to climb up on it.
  67. Once through the window you will notice that you are on a small lefdge that goes to the right. The platform you are on spits halfway down the ledge. Take the left fork to the guardhouse.
  68. A cinematic shows the archer who shot at you before fall off the ledge and down into the courtyard near the pool of water and die. Save your game here. Pick up the bow on the ground. Walk over to where the bow is and position yourself above it and press the control key to pick up the bow. Move back from the ledge over the pool in the courtyard below and run off the ledge. You will land in the pool of water below as long as you do not walk or jump off the ledge.
  69. When you get into the water point your character toward the surface and press the alternate key to come to the surface of the water. Use the directional keys to go to the side and use the shift and up arrow keys to get out of the pool.
  70. Swimming is a matter of pointing where you want to go and using the jump or alternative key to go where the prince is pointing. While on the surface if you press the jump key the prince will dive under the surface of the water.
  71. Walk around the the body of the archer and pick up the arrows.
  72. Go to where the guard pulled the mechanism and raised the bridge so that you could not get across. To the left of the raised bridge is the room where the guard was when he pulled the mechanism and there should be a square of wood in this room that is facing you like a target. Us the number two key to select the bow. Then use the spacebar to draw the bow. Hold down the control key to pull the drawstring back and bring up the target reticle shaped like an arrow point pointing up. Put the point of the arrow on the square of wood and take your finger off of the control key. The arrow should hit the square of wood releasing the drawbridge.
  73. Save the game. Use the one key to reequip the sword. Go across the drawbridge. Fight the guard on the other side.
  74. Do not move. Look for an archway with slits in the side. These slits are a decapitation trap. You must hold down the C-key to crawl and use the 8 or up arrow key to move forward until you are well clear of the trap on the other side. The blades should swing harmlessly overhead and leave the prince intact.
  75. A cinematic sequence plays with a guard bringing a female prisoner to the palace. Notice that both switches must be pressed for the gate to open and give you access to the palace.
  76. Run across the room under the bridge to the doorway on the other side. This room has floor traps that pop out of the ground and will thrust you up into the spikes in the ceiling. By holding down the shift key and using the arrow keys to move forward and turn you will walk in this room. Walking in this room you will trigger the traps before you get to them and allow you to avoid your untimely death yet once again.
  77. Take the ramp up the wall until you reach a doorway at the end of the passage. Once through the doorway you will be in a room with stone walls. To your left is a torch with a blue flame and a guard with a staff. The staff has greater reach than the sword you have. You need to get inside the reach of the staff to strike with the sword without getting hurt yourself.
  78. Head down the passagway the guard was patrolling. Go through the passageway you find there. Head down the hallway. The guard you thought you killed will be seen in a cinematic where he activates a floor switch. Pieces of the floor in the next room will fall away into a deep chasm. Save your game here.
  79. You need to jump into the doorway to the right to get past the crumbling floor. As you more forward the floor will fall away so you need to move quickly to move forward and jump into the doorway. You may have to take a short detour into the room on the left
  80. The door on the right has a wooden desk that you can pull away from the back wall of the room exposing a hole in the wall through to another room. Use the control key to grab the desk and the two key to pull it away from the rear wall of the room.
  81. You now find youself in a room with a locked door and a crate. Save your game. Push the crate across the room underneith a hole in the ceiling. Climb on top of the box using the shift key to grap the box and the up arrow (8 key) to climb up on the box. Jump up with the alt key and grab the edge of the hole by holding the alt key down. Then climb up through the hole with the up arrow or 8 key.
  82. You will find yourself in a room with a door leading out. Go out the door to the small platform. The platform has a ledg above it. Position yourself below the ledge. Jump up with the alt key and grab the ledge by holding the alt key down. Then climb up onto the ledge with the up arrow or 8 key.
  83. Turn around and look you will see a wooden beam with a doorway behind it. Below the beam is a long drop. Save your game. Line yourself up with the beam and the doorway. Back up and run to the edge with the 8 key or forward arrow key. Jump to the beam by depressing and holding down the alt key so you will grab the edge of the beam. Use the 8 or forward arrow key to pull yourself up on the beam. Position yourself and do a standing forward jump by depressing and holding down the alt key and then pressing the 8 key simultaneously to jump forward. Keep holding the alt key down and press the up arrow or eight key to pull yourself up and fight the guard in the room there.
  84. Once the guard is killed pick up the healing potion he dropped and add it to the group of healing potions that you have. Pick up the arrows in the alcove here.
  85. Go out the doorway on the opposite side of the room and step on the floor switch. A cinematic where the prince says he needs to find a way to activate the other switch is played.
  86. Use your bow to shoot the guard across the way from where your switch booth guardhouse is. When you shoot the guard, a cinematic will play showing the guard falling over the switch in the other guard booth opening the portcullis. Save your game.
  87. Hold down the shift key and walk out onto the platform to the right Turn around using the five key and while holding the shift key down lower yourself down on the edge of the platform and drop. You will land on the edge of a platform just below. Repeat this procedure and go down to the next platform.
  88. Move forward onto the platform and do a standing forward jump with the alt and 8 or forward arrow keys to jump down onto the area just in front of the portcullis gate out of the tower.
  89. Save your game and move through the opening and step on the floor switch which should bring down a drawbridge. Go across the drawbridge and you will start the cinematic for the cistern level.

    Cistern

  90. There is a monster at the bottom of the well in front of you. Optionally, you can climb down the rope and battel the monster and get a potion and some arrows for your bow.
  91. As you move further in towards the water you will see a guard with a bow in a guard house in front of you. You can use your bow to kill this guard and make the next few steps easier. Also pick up the few arrows that you will find in front of the stacked boxes at the edge of the dock area.
  92. Once the guard is killed. Go to the front right portion of the dock and find a little platform with markings on it that seem to line up with a rope dangling from the ceiling. Save your game. Run and jump to the rope. Hold down the alt key to grab and hold onto the rope and release the alt key while you are over the platform on the other side. You should land on the stairway leading up to the guard house. Save your game here.
  93. Turn to your right and go up the stairs until you get to a gap and make a standing forward jump by holding the alt key down and pressing the 8 or forward arrow key to move forward. Then hold the alt key down and press the 8 or forward arrow key to climb up. Notice as you move forward another section of the stairway is missing. Repeat the previous proceedure to jump this gap and get up to the platform with the guardhouse. Pick up the arrows near the dead guard and the potion.
  94. Step onto the elevated platform with chains holding it up and you will find that it is an elevator. A cinematic will play with the prince being transported to the bottom of the elevator shaft.
  95. You will find yourself on a narrow dock with a boat to the right of it. Save your game. Move forward until you are even with the flat bottom area of the boat and do a standing forward jump onto the deck. Save your game and ready your sword. Go to the rear - right side of the boat and find the oar and use the control key to activate it.
  96. A cinematic will play with the prince moving the oar to propell the boat forward into the water. An assassin will drop down onto the boat from above and a battle will start. Be quick to attack the assassin as he will be on you quickly. Also this assassin is more difficult than the previous enemies you have fought and he will take a lot of damage before going down.
  97. Once the assassin is killed the boat will continue to move straight ahead until it docks in a harbor and doors close around it. You need to dive in the water and move toward the two boxes floating in the water near the gates of the dock area that just closed. The gates are to the back of the ship and when facing the gates to the right of the closed gates. Hold down the shift key and press the 8 or foward arrow key to climb onto the block floating the lowest in the water. Do a standing forward jump to the next block by pressing and holding down the alt key and then the 8 key to jump forward. Hold down the alt key and grab the edge of the block and pull yourself up onto it. Turn to the right and jump up onto the dock area to the right of the gate that just closed.
  98. Save your game again. Pick up the potion of healing on the dock here. You will need to get to the dock on the other side to get out of this area. Go back to the area of the dock near where the boxes are in the water and look for a pilon or pole sticking out of the water near the back of the boat. Line yourself up and make a standing forward jump with the alt and 8 keys. Hold the alt key down to grab the top of the pilon and use the 8 key to pull yourself up onto it.
  99. The idea here is to jump to the chain, climb to the top and rotate with your back toward the catwalk above the doors above the closed dock gates. If you let go of the rope in this position you will drop down onto the catwalk. Now turn and face the chain coming off of a crane boom above you and do a standing jump to the chain by pressing and holding down the alt key and then pressing the 8 key simultaneously. While holding the alt key down use the arrow keys to climb up the chain to the top and rotate the character around so that your back is facing the catwalk above the docking gates. Release the alt key dropping the prince to the catwalk and save the game.
  100. Move to the far end of the catwalk closest to where the other side of the dock is. You should find a switch on the railing closest to the inside of the dock area. Use the control switch to activate this switch. The switch will get the crane moving from side to side with a box on a chain hanging from it.
  101. Look around until you can see the chain platform above the prince. Notice the box on the catwalk with you. Grab the box on the catwalk with the control key and pull it back under the platform just above the catwalk with the two or down arrow key. Climb up on the box with the shift and 8 keys. Then postion yourself beneith the platform above you and jump up, grab and climb onto the platform by pressing and holding the alt key to grab the edge of the platform and then holding the alt key down while you press and hold the 8 or up arrow key until the prince climbs into the platform. Save the game.
  102. Look around again until you see a second platform not too far away from the first one, which is nearer to the box which is moving back and forth on the chain. Line up the prince for a jump to the second platform. Jump to this second platform by holding down the alt key and then simultaneously depressing the up arrow or 8 key to get the prince to do a standing forward jump. Hold down the alt key incase you have to grab the edge of the platform and pull yourself up. Save your game once you are safely on the platform.
  103. Look around and position yourself to jump onto the moving box. This jump requires timing and may take a few tries. Running off the edge without jumping may be the easiest way to get through this area. Just reload your game to where you were on the box before you jumped and missed and try again. Once on the moving box you may want to save your game again. The box will come close to the platform on the other side when it moves to the area near the closed doors to the docking area. Position yourself facing the dock area you wish to jump to and again time your jump. If you miss or fall off the block restore your saved game and try again. Once on the dock safely save your game yet again.
  104. Look around at the pathway up out of the dock area. You should see some stacks of boxes. To the right of the stacks of boxes there are two floor plates that activate dart traps here and to the left of the boxes is an area of the dock that is rigged to fall away when you step on it. The safest way is to climb up on the boxes with the shift and up arrow or 8 keys and jump from box to box until you are past the two traps. Save your game. After I did this I fell off the dock right here trying to go up the ramp.
  105. At the top of the steps you will come to another guard. You may want to fight him in melee but I shot him with three arrows and killed him. be sure to save the game here and reset your melee weapon since as soon as the palace loads a guard will rush you.
  106. Move up to the large archway and step on the floor switch in front of the door. This will start the cinematic of the lion man telling your wife that she is a widow and will soon be married to him. After the cinematic is over you will be in the palace.

    Palace 2

  107. Immediately when you come into the area a guard will rush you.
  108. After dispatching the guard you will notice a doorway straight ahead and one to the right. Your object is to go straight ahead and turn left and activate the switch on the wall there. This switch will lower the walkway up to the next level.
  109. You can also go through the door straight ahead and see the layout of the area of the palace in front of you. You cannot get out of this "porch" area as it is surrounded by an iron fence on three sides and a stone wall on the remaining side.
  110. If you go through the doorway to the right you will find a switch there. You will also activate a trap that will cause the door to the outside "porch" to close. Activating this switch opens the portcullis to the right back out to the area where the ramp is now down. Once you throw the switch you have a limited amount of time to get out before the portcullis falls and blocks your path again. You need to save now. Throw the switch and walk forward until just about at the decapitation trap. Crouch and crawl past the portcullis quickly. Whenever I got up after the decapitation trap the gate fell and I had to try again. So try crawling all the way out.
  111. Once you make it save your game. Go up the ramp and fight the very strong guard there. Takes three arrows or many more hits from the staff or sword to beat this one.
  112. Once the guard is dead take a look to the left of the door to find the switch. Throw the switch with the control key and the ramp will move up again accessing another level.
  113. Go up the lamp jump up to the window and grab the box and push it by holding down the control key and using the up arrow or 8 key. Once the box is pushed through the wall will raise you into a large courtyard area overlooking the city with a pool in the center.
  114. Immediately move to the right and take cover behind the box. To the right of the pool is an archer who should be shooting arrows at you. Either rush him and kill him with your sword or take three arrows to kill him. Once you have the bow aimed you can pull successive arrows by depressing the control key quickly. It takes three arrows to kill this archer.
  115. Move over under the shelf to the right of where you came in. There is another archer here above you waiting for you to take the elixir bait near the pool. Run to the right of the pool behind the plant and turn around and quickly dispatch the other archer there before he sees you and starts shooting back. Again it takes three arrows to kill him.
  116. Get the potion near the pool.
  117. Return to where you entered the area and look at the opening you came in from. Turn to the right and grab the box there by depressing and holding the control key when facing the box and pull the box infront of the alcove you just stepped out of by depressing the 2 or down arrow key while holding the control key down.
  118. When lined up, go around the side of the box furthest from the alcove you steped out of and push the box into the hole. A cinematic will show the wall lowering again opening up a new area.
  119. Go to the left side of the room and climb up on the wall where the chain for the ramp is coming out of the wall by holding in the shift key and depressing the 8 or up arrow until you climb up near the chain. Walk forward around the chain to the chest under and in front of the balcony.
  120. Climb up on the chest by depressing the shift and forward arrow key and holding them until the prince climbs up on the chest. Save your game here. Depress and hold the alt key to jump up and press and hold the 8 or up arrow key to grab the edge of the ledge and climb up on it.
  121. Here you want to make sure that you trip the portcullis so that it comes down and the drawbridge beyond goes up. Go up the ramp and kill the guard beyond with your arrows. Go to the top of the ramp turn left and move to the edge using the shift key and the arrow or directional keys. Do a standing forward jump to the ledge and hold the alt key in because you will slip and fall and will need to catch the ledge. Hold the alt key in and shimmy by pressing the 4 or left arrow key until you are just below the window. Continue to depress the alt key as you depress the up arrow key until you climb in the window. Go over to the dead guard and pick up the blue health potion he dropped.
  122. Go right into the next room. Get the arrows and climb out on the balcony. Turn right and face the ledge.
  123. Save your game. walk up onto the ledge surrounding the balcony and position yourself directly under the horizontal pole holding the banner up. Line up the evenly with the rope in the middle of the space between the two balconies. Use the alt key to jump straight up with the alt key and hold the alt key in and catch the pole with the 8 or up arrow key. The prince will begin to swing back and forth toward the rope and back again. When the prince is swinging toward the rope let go the alt key and depress it again with the up arrow or 8 key and the prince will swing toward the rope and catch it. The prince will start swinging on the rope. Again let go the rope by letting up on the alt key and redepress it and the 8 or up arrow key in case you need to grab the edge of the balcony, and pull yourself up.
  124. After you are on the balcony go to the far side and get the three arrows there. Go through the window into the room. Save your game.
  125. Carefully and quickly go across the catwalk made of three squares. The cat walk will fall away as you pass over it. If you stop you will fall to your doom.
  126. In the next room look for more arrows. And climb up on the windowsill here. If you have not done before, kill the guard with your bow who is on the other side of the drawbridge. This will take another three arrows. Save your game.
  127. Use the up arrow or 8 key and depress the shift key to position the prince on the rope. Depress and hold the alt and 8 or up arrow key to jump to the rope and hold onto it. Continue to hold these keys until the prince climbs to the top of the rope. You will climb past a platform which comes from the wall to your right out straight behind you. After you get to the very top of the rope, let go of the rope and the prince will drop to the platform you passed on the way up.
  128. Turn to your right and move forward twice. Jump up with the alt key held depressed and catch the over hanging ledge with the 8 or up arrow key. Continue to depress the up arrow key and climb up to the roof. Depress the shift key and carefully use the arrow keys to walk to the front of the buiding and across until you reac the center. Stop and save your game here. The view should change showing you the drawbridge below.
  129. Use the shift and the arrow keys or number keys to position yourself directly across from the bridge. Do a standing forward jump by first depressing the alt key and then the 8 key to move forward. The prince should hit and slide down the open drawbridge to the palace library beyond. Save the game yet again.
  130. Immediately, turn and enter the room and pick up the health elixir.
  131. Walk into the middle of the library and talk to the two scholars here. They will not hurt you and will offer you advice. Walk up to the section of the wall behind the seated scholar to your right as you came into the room and use your control key to activate the secret door. This will take you to a hallway.
  132. Walk to the end of the hallway in a shaft going up. Walk around until the cinematic comes on showing you rising in an elevator to the higher levels of this library. At the top step on the floor switch and go through the door. Keep stepping on switches and opening doors until you are in the main portion of the library.
  133. Look around and see the boxes to the left of a closed doorway. Climb up on the boxes and jump up on the area above the doorway. Jump across to the wooden platform to the right of the doorway you are now on top of. The closer to the wall you are when you make the jump the more likely you will be to succeed without falling off the other side of the wooden platform.

    Palace 3

  134. A guard will charge you as soon as this area starts. Kill the guard and go through the double doors here.
  135. You find yourself in a courtyard with two doorways and a short stone wall. Climb up on the short stone wall. Go through the doorway on the right. You find yourself in a hallway with a doorway at the end and a switch in the middle on the left. Press the switch and run off the ledge on the other side of the switch. As soon as you land, turn around and step on the floor switch you find here.
  136. Crawl past the two decapitator traps and walk to the doorway on the left side of the room. Look at the guillotine sitting here so crawl through the doorway to avoid it. Go up the stiairs to a doorway with a hanging rope past it. You will need to jump to the rope and swing to the other side.
  137. There is another rope in front of you. Climb the rope to the top. Turn around and walk into the other room. Save your game. There are concealed spike traps in this room that are earmarked by slightly raised sections of the floor. Go through the doorway on the other side of the rooms with the traps and fitht the guard in the small hallway there. The guard has a staff so close quickly with him and draw the sword. With a staff you need to get in close to avoid being sliced up quickly.
  138. After the staff-weilding guard is dead, go through the doorway with a small ledge, jump to the rope beyond and swing to the other side. Go through the doorway on the other side. Look for the doorway with a closed gate. Take a left and go through the doorway with the portcullis rising.
  139. This is a very nasty trap room. Watch the cinematic of the floor opening up dumping you into a pit. The ceiling starts to come down. To the right of the doorway is a section of wall that you can push with the control and number pad 8 key combination. Push the section forward and reveal the secret passage beyond.
  140. Go through the passage and take a left and go into the room that looks like a dead end. Jump up to the catwalk above you and pull yourself up with the alt and number pad 8 key combination.
  141. From the platform you can see two doors. Take the door on the left. Activate the lever in the area beyond the door to open a gate. Go through the gate and the doorway.
  142. There is a potion to your left that will heal you if you need it. Pick up the potion with the control key. There is a hanging rope in the room. Run back to this room and run off the ledge. If you jump or walk you will not hit the pool below so make sure you run.
  143. Get out of the pool and notice the doorway and staircase. Go through the doorway into a room where you will have to fight another assassin guard.
  144. Go through the next doorway back into the courtyard. Watch the cinematic of the belly dancer assassin jumping into the a pool of water.
  145. Go up onto the platform and courtyard where the pool is. Resist the temptation to follow the belly dancer assassin into the pool. Jump across or swim through the stream. An archer in a tower will be shooting at you so avoid the arrows. Go into the doorway at the base of the tower.
  146. Take a right turn once inside the tower doorway. When you reach the apparent dead end look for and push the section of the wall. This will show a cinematic of a rope falling down. Turn around and run down the hallway. When a doorway appears on your right go through it and climb the rope hanging down there. At the top of the rope fight another guard.
  147. Once the guard is dead climb back down the rope. Exit the doorway to the room and turn left. Avoid the two dart traps in this room and drink the potion of healing at the end of the hallway here. Go through the doorway on the left.
  148. There is a swinging rope over a ledge in the middle of the room. The ledge has spikes at its center. Swing the rope and jump so that you grab the ledge of the central platform. Shimmy to the side of the platform and climb up where there are no spikes in the little space between the spikes and the backside of the platform. Sidestep and do a standing forward jump to the platform on the other side.
  149. Go through the hallway and into a room with a raised platform. Go up to the top of the large platform and kill the two guards there. Climb up and over the short wall find the lever and pull it. Head back towards the door with the closed gate. Walk up to this closed gate and the gate will open. Turn right in the hallway and go out the doorway on the right that leads to the courtyard.
  150. Jump on the central structure and enter the pool. Swim straight down and follow the passage until you reach a room with blades and two doors. Go in door and swim to another room. Surface and get out of the water.
  151. You will see three closed doors and one open door. Go into the open doorway. Here you see three switches. Step on the blue one opening a door in the anteroom. Go through the newly opened door. Follow the short hallway to a room with a closed door at the end. Use the control key to activate the unlit torch on the side of the room opening the closed door.
  152. Enter the door and kill the waiting assassin there. Climb up the small ledge and go into the next room.
  153. Notice the structure in the center of the room. Climb on the structure and then climb through the hole in the ceiling. Avoid the dart traps here by not stepping on the floor switches. Go through the doorway out of the room.
  154. In the hall run until you get to the closed portcullis. Take a right and you will be on a ledge. From the ledge you should be able to pick off one or two guards on the platform below you by using your bow.
  155. Go back to the room with the large pool. Go back to the room with the three floor switches. Step on the red floor switch. The switch will open one of the doors in the other room. Go through this newly opened door.
  156. In this room climb up onto the ledge. Go into the doorway. You will find yourself on another ledge. Save your game. Jump off the ledge and avoid the floor spikes below.
  157. Go through the doorway and follow the hall to the end. You will come out onto a balcony. When you killed the guards with a bow you may see one or two bodies here. If any guards remain alive kill them with your sword. At the end of the walkway press the switch which will raise a bridge. Go across the bridge to the next room.
  158. Climb up onto the ledge. Go through the door. Save your game. Jump from the ledge to the balcony. If you miss the jump restore and try again. Go into the doorway. Once in the hallway, kill the patrolling guard there. Take a left and stand in front of the gate here and it will open. Jump or fall down the hole in the floor.
  159. Go through the doorway into the next room with the double arches. Go through the double arches (pick up a hamburger on the way) and the wall at the far side of the room will open up. Go through the now open wall and take the doorway on the right soide of the room. This is the elevator which will take you up.
  160. Go out of the elevator and take a left, then take a right to the rope. Jump on the rope and swing to the other side.
  161. On the other side you will find a rope going down through a hole in the floor with a pot on the other side of the room. Push the pot into the hole with the control and number pad 8 keys. Go down the hole using the rope.
  162. In the room at the bottom step on the green switch. Go through the open doorway. Follow the hallway until you get to yet another ledge. To the right and left you will see stairs. Go down and kill the belly dancer assassin.
  163. Go through doorway and follow the hallway to the roofs level. Congratulations you have finished the palace. Enjoy the cinematic.

I don't know which way to go. both ways I die :( and how do you enchant arrows? On the rooftops I have gotten this far: cross bridge turn to your left. climb one of the pillars. jump to rooftop. turn to your left jump to the platform at the window. jump or slide down the chain turn left to the next room. to the right go up the stairs and push the button on the floor. jump acrossed to the other side. but don't jump in the middle. push the other button but be careful of the poison arrows. grab hold of the ledge and move over to the entrance, lift yourself up, if you go out on the ledge up to the ledge above you there is a potion but it is green and it is poison, takes hp away. to the left is another ledge to jump too. then jump to the next ledge there is a potion here. jump to the rope and land on the other ledge.
