The 3D physics engine models the cars mathematically and visually to take care of the movement of shocks, springs, terrain, innertia, and gravity. Cars go airborne and parts fly off in all directions. The 3D engine has full texture mapping, gouraud shading, and a frame rate meter to control frames to computing power issues, similar to NASCAR Racing 2.

Utilities

A track editor is included with the game, which is very easy to use. The track uses polygons to represent the terrain and overlays a track composed of tetrahedrons strung together. You drag the track around the terrain once its modeled to form the track. You can shape the track with the mouse. Everything is point and click. The track editor will help to deal with situations such as trees in the middle of the track, rather than just defining tree placement. The game supports force feedback devices to provide the appropriate vibration when a wheel catches a particularly juicy pot hole.
