Redguard

History

If you played Bethesda's Arena or even Daggerfall you will remember these two excellent best selling and award-winning titles. Bethesda has announced the start of a series of games called the "Elder Scrolls Adventures."

Company Line

Game Play

The game will be a third person perspective game similar to Tomb Raider. Unlike Tomb Raider, Redguard will be a graphic animated adventure with hand drawn graphics. You will be expected to participate in sword fights, but hopefully they will not be arcade type encounters which are the bane of this genre.

Puzzle solving is a must in a graphic animated adventure, and Redguard will be no different.

The interface will be able to be used with a four button game pad to keep the game easy to convert to console games. Many times the console type game neglects the subtile control that keyboard and mouse can make in a game. Hopefully, Bethesda will adequately use the keyboard in designing the PC version.

Plot

You take the role of Cyrus, a Redguard mercenary, who is somewhat similar to a pirate or a swashbuckler. Cyrus must find his sister.

Graphics

Hand drawn two dimensional animated figures and backgrounds will be used in Redguard.

Animation

Redguard will incorporate similar technology to Activision's Voice Actors
