Heretic/Hexen universe. The game will focus on a mix of story and character
development with strong action gameplay elements. In the story, the player
crosses the continent of Parthoris populated with creatures that have been
infected by an evil plague that twists its victim's minds. Corvus, the main
character, must find the source of the plague and free his people from its deadly
influence. Using the QUAKE II™ engine, Heretic II will boast incredible special
effects, some of the most amazing environments Raven has created to date, and
third-person action gameplay that will redefine the genre. Developed by Raven
Software and published by Activision, Inc., the game is slated for release on
Windows 95/98 and Windows NT this November.
